Try this: Combine ¾ cup baking soda, ¼ cup salt and water into a thick paste. Slather onto oven (avoiding contact with the metal, as salt can corrode) let sit overnight. In the morning, scrape with a putty knife or spatula. Finish up with a sponge and a spray of white vinegar.
